The logo was designed by Tom Meindel, an Art History student at the University of Wisconsin—Eau Claire for a contest the Brewers had for a new design. Tom won and received $2,000. So yes, it was designed that way. But it's still pretty clever and honestly, I didn't know about this until I saw this and I've been a Brewers fan all my life.
